A MetaMovie is a live, interactive adventure where you don’t watch the story—you live it.
Unlike a traditional virtual reality game, every MetaMovie is performed live by professional actors and shaped by the decisions of the audience. There are no NPC dialogue trees or scripted cutscenes. Instead, you’ll explore immersive worlds, work together to solve problems, battle incredible enemies, and build real relationships with characters who remember what you say and do.
No two MetaMovies are ever exactly alike.
Both ticket types are essential to the experience—they just offer different ways to play.
Heroes are at the center of the story. They wield powerful signature weapons, interact directly with the cast, and make many of the decisions that shape the adventure.
BeeBots are indispensable companions with a completely different style of gameplay. BeeBots use a unique set of abilities to support the team, solve problems, and influence the outcome of nearly every major encounter. Many players are surprised to discover that some of the most memorable moments in Secrets of Gara belong to the BeeBots.
If you enjoy being the central figure in an epic adventure, choose a Hero. If you love cooperative gameplay, supporting your team, and discovering clever ways to turn the tide of battle, you’ll love being a BeeBot.
Absolutely! While most performances are open to the public, you’re welcome to book alongside friends and experience the adventure together. We also offer private performances for birthdays, team-building events, VR communities, conventions, content creators, and anyone looking for a truly unforgettable shared experience.
Coming on your own? We encourage it. Some of the strongest MetaMovie experiences begin with a group of complete strangers who laugh together, overcome impossible odds as a team, and leave as friends. There’s something special about sharing an unforgettable adventure with people you’ve just met.
Plan on spending 2½ hours with us.
Your experience begins with a brief orientation where you’ll meet your fellow players, learn the basics, and prepare for the mission ahead. The live performance itself lasts about two hours, including a short intermission. Afterwards, many groups choose to stick around to chat with the cast, compare decisions, and discover just how differently their adventure could have unfolded.
There are many ways to build a VR experience. For us, Resonite offered us two things:
As a small team spread across multiple countries, Resonite allows us to build the world together, in real time, from inside VR itself. Artists, programmers, designers, and actors can all collaborate in the same space, making the creative process faster, more collaborative, and far more enjoyable than traditional development.
Just as importantly, we believe in the long-term vision of the metaverse: a shared virtual space where people create, perform, learn, and play together. The MetaMovie project was designed from the very beginning to be part of that future, and Resonite is the platform that best aligns with that vision.
You'll need a VR-ready Windows PC, a supported PC VR headset, a stable broadband internet connection, a microphone, and a copy of Resonite (https://resonite.com/). Detailed PC specifications and setup instructions will be available well before launch.
(If your computer can comfortably run games like Half-Life: Alyx, you're probably in good shape.)
